I heard that Noah's was planning its own private kennels what happened to this?

The land we had earmarked for our kennels was moving forward nicely with planning applications and all the necessary paperwork presented. Progress was hindered by objections from "neighbours" the nearest of which was almost a 1 km away!

However unknown to us in January this year, behind the scenes the wheels of the Spanish health and safety had been turning. Since January the amount of investment required to set up our Kennels had been changed because of the extra legislation with in house vet care, and other large set up costs. After recalculating the amount required to fund these new set up procedures, sadly were simply not financially able to proceed further with the endeavor.

We have had much discussion over the past few months regarding the best way forward for Noah's arc and land purchase. This has led to an impasse where some committee members wanted to proceed with land purchase at all costs, and others mindful of the huge investment required were fearing financial meltdown as a result. The biggest hurdle to overcome was always going to be the substantial running costs of our own kennels. What with the inevitable doubling of our vets bills and having to pay wages to kennel staff to guarantee continuity of care because of the type of injuries our dogs have, this meant that our income had to significantly increase.
