Adopted dogs Progress

THIS IS HOW
SO MANY
DOGS START THEIR NEW
& VERY
SAD LIFE

OR
END IT

This is one of the pages that makes everyone at Noah's Arc feel satisfaction in the work they do. AND, especially the unselfish people who take in, care for and love a dog they know they will
have to part with soon.
FEW DOGS WOULD STAND A CHANCE WITHOUT OUR FOSTERERS, AND WITHOUT THE MARVELLOUS AND GENEROUS PEOPLE IN OTHER COUNTRIES WHO ADOPT OUR DOGS.
THANKS TO ALL

Ollie

Hi, Just a quick email to say hi and to let you know I rehomed ollie from you in 2007, I still have him and he is well and healthy.I have attached a few pictures of him.
He still has the occasional pain in his leg from being shot but thats only when he gets too excited and forgets his injured.

Regards
Natalie

Lewis

Lewis is now settled in his new home. He was a bit nervous to start with but he is doing just fine with us now. I think after a few months he will be quite a different dog. What he really need is to be loved in a private home. Lewis is really enjoying his new life in which you also can see from the pictures. He also go very well together with Bobby a dog we have had for the last 6 years.

It is sad that dogs get treated in the past the way that Lewis must have been treated. However, we have good experience with this problem. We had a German schaffer for the last 7 years and he passed away some months ago 14 years old. He was also so traumatised when we got him at the age of 7. But he turned out to be the the most beatiful and lovely dog you could dream of, and we miss him so much. However, we now have Lewis who is our baby now together with Bobby.

Kind regards
Jan Erik

Berry (Nee Paddy)

Dear great team of Noah's Arc
Our Paddy is now called Berry and has settled very well into our family. He is housebroken, loves our young grandchildren, and runs well on a leash - even on the golf course. He has mastered the command "sit" and is very attentive and willing to learn. In October we go to a dog school. He is very considerate and very cuddly. In our large garden, he can indulge his youth. We have the change in diet under control. The vet is very satisfied with him.
We are very happy with the new addition to our family. He makes us laugh and would like to be tickled all day.
Thanks to the support from the team of Noah's Arc - especially  the foster family  we have a dog who understands everything and is mastering his new life with confidence and without fear. Attached are some pictures of our little darling.
Sincerely, Wolfgang Zürn and family

Joe Now 'Rojo' in Canada

            I hate bathtime                                                  Aren't I just beautiful?

Hi everyone at NA.  I am sorry to be late with these- incidentally, the one of Rojo all muddy is because he was playing with some dogs and discovered a muddy pond.  The only thing you could see of him after this episode was his pink nose.  Thank God we had the truck, I don`t know how we would have got him home otherwise.  Also, I hope you like the videos- I wanted you to be able to see the beautiful beach we live by, but I have to tell you the Rojo runs so fast so often, it is terrifically difficult to get video of him as I couldn`t predict where he was heading off to sometimes!!  And, as I mentioned, I can`t walk down the beach, or the street, or the ferry line-up without being asked what kind of dog he is- I continue to tell the story, and whenever I can, I mention Noah`s Arc.
So, to make a long story short, we absolutely love him, he is just such a joyful, playful, loving dog.  Thank you so, so much.   I know you went the extra thousand miles to get him here, and I can`t tell you how grateful I am.
Incidentally, there are other photos and stuff after this. As well, my youtube account is
http://www.youtube.com/user/suzyburb. Videos of Rojo are on this site.
  cheers, suzanne,michel and rojo

Elliot in Germany

Finally, I have managed to find the camera and it's still working so here are a few pictures from our walk today! As you can see, he loves the water, runnig around in the park and he has
found some lovely friends. He is also taking
great care of our baby kittens, sharing all his
stuff with them and licking them clean. He is such
a brilliant, lovely dog, from the first day on he was a member of the family and we cannot imagine a life without him anymore!
Thanks a lot for this amazing dog!

Jillie the Jewel

A small report about our Jilly. On the 06.06.2009, Jilly arrived of Annike with your flight godmother at the airport Berlin-Tegel. My son Marvin and the rest of the family were very excited. She finally was there. Still sat quite quietly in the transportation box.
But as we you wanted to take out, she became very fearful. After the transportation, she emptied all also first once then to empty something on the airport was.
After we finally had left the airport and they had become more quietly you in the car on the lap finally.  Was arrived sniffed all at home first and also your basket immediately was taken in mist. All something at toy existing become carry in your basket. She also is very curious.
Jilly kept your name and was also in a very good condition.
She did since the arrival not even in the apartment. She already therefore was clean. Also ball brings she plays very gladly. When strolling, I, that am very compatibly she with other dogs, goes be notice it. Also, she is very much fixed on male people.
After 2 weeks, it also can become I feststellen, das better from day to day, with the little antics ness. She now comes from alone and calls you in. At the beginning, she still was very detached in this sense. Also, she has already dog friends liked to find you on the meadow with those romps. In the sun on the meadow sits as well as lies and grass chews also is quite great.
From her whole holding back, I find, now arrived with us. Clearly, we still give her also the time in order to be located right in our area they you needs. Today, I was with the veterinarian. Also he said with Jilly, all is in order.
All together, we all are very happy over Jilly. She really is a crazy bitch.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW. A boy and his dog. Beautiful Tigger

some pictures of Tigger's new home. The first 2 days eating was a bit difficult, but that seems to be over. I asked my parents if he had any problems adapting to the stairs? They said no, they can't follow him going up and down :)
My father is very pleased during the walks, apparently Tigger is the easiest dog to walk with he has ever had. Except when he goes to the park and Tigger sees any rabbts :)
Today I took my son (4,5 years) with me to 'check out the new familymember'. He was a bit (to say the least) surprised to see this huge dog (we have a jack russell), but that was no problem after they got to know each other.

Mikey

We send you this e-mail so you can have some information about Mikey. We adopted Mikey last sunday
(Greyhounds rescue Belgium) .  Mikey is a very lovely dog.  He wants to be everybody's friend.  We have 4 cats here in our home and Mikey wants to be their friend too.  But the cats don't alow it just yet. Mikey is so friendly for everybody he meets.  We love him very much. This summer we're going on holliday to Denmark with Mikey.
I send you some pictures so you can see for yourself how our Mikey is doing.
We are so happy with our Mikey.  He is so clever.  He already made a lot of friends in our neighbourhood too.
I includes more pictures so you can see for yourself how he's doing here in Ekeren.  We bought a new doggybed for hem and he is so happy with it.  It gives us such a good feeling just watching him when he's sleeping or playing with
his toys.  He's our sunshine   Best regards, Belgium

Mikey Update

I am very sorry to read the sad news about Gisela.  I read the news on the website of Greyhounds rescue Belgium when we got back from our holliday in Denmark.  I was in tears when I saw the pictures on youtube.  I don't understand why people do such horrible things to these wonderfull dogs.  The memorial about Gisela was very touching.  Andrew said very lovely words.
We are so happy with our Mikey.  We thank you and all the people of Noahs Arc very much to let us have such an amazing dog.  I can't describe in words what Mikey means to us.  He is so cute and nice and gives us so much love.  My son Kenny, he autistic, loves Mikey also very much.  Usualy Kenny is very quiet and in to himself  but with Mikey he has special band.  He likes playing with him and taking care of Mikey.
We just got back from our holliday in Denmark and Mikey injoyed himself very much.  Every day we went to the beach for a long walk.  Mikey also met a lot of other dogs on our daily walks.  But one of the a very large dark brown dog, a very friendly one, was Mikey special friend.  Every walk, in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening, we always met the big dog.  And both dogs enjoyed there meeting.
And during the trip to Denmark (we went by car) Mikey was the perfect dog.  He is so good it's unbelievable.I send you some pictures so you can see for yourself how much fun Mikey had.
Again thank you very much for this amazing dog Mikey.  (this moment I am on the pc and he's sleeping on the sofa)

Leia (Kanga)
Hello everybody,  My wife Rosa and I are so pleased that finally Leias brother Micky is homed in Belgium. Leia (Kanga) has just finished her dogtraining class, she has done so well that she is "diplomated" intermediate and on top of that she won a trofee, being the best of the intermediate class!!
I hope that the belgium family keeps you informed about Micky, and that I might see some photos of him!
Leia is a marvellous dog, mention it on your webpage!! I wish that I had more money so I could sponsor you, we will see in the future.  All the best to you all

from the new owner of Gucci

Gucci arrived safely and well  here in Upper Austria. She had a first meal, a little walk with her new comrade Kisa ( Galga ) and both are now having a little nap.
I will send you pictures of both in a few days when things become routine. Thank you for the nice haircut Gucci became.
Good luck for your work and thank you that you are kind people!
Regards From Austria

UPDATE Gucci is adapting quite well. She is a very sweet dog who does her ancestors  proud.  Yesterday she had a race with our galga. The galga was of course going full speed. Gucci watched this for a full round and understood that
this speed was not for her. So she hid behind a small hillock, waited for
the galga to pass and tried to  hit her sideways.
This irritated the  galga.
She is used to be followed and not  to be stopped. The race was stopped by
me being the boss,  without there being a winner. Kisa, the galga was  totally surprised.Gucci liked it!
I would  like to come into contact with the foster family as I would also  like to know something about Gucci's past.
I would love to send you photo's but the battery of my camera is flat. I
 shall load it immediately.
I wish you and your team all the best and thank you for your work.

BRUNO Hello.
I am glad that I hear something of you again. We are so enthusiastic about Bruno that we found such a wonderful dog. He is really completely educated, I could only learn from him! He also feels well with us and never leaves us out of sight, morning,  noon and evening, I go "our" rounds through the fields with him - all without a lead! Into the city, I already also took him, no problems. He also knows our car and would like to get on every time - splendid.
We shattered ourselves already the head where Bruno might live and whoever educated him/it so well.

BRUNO FALLING IN LOVE WITH A GERMAN COW
It would be nice if I could get the e-mail address from the foster family. Pictures stylish I also this week still, must wait on a friend, however, who makes this for me.
At the arrival, Bruno hobbled very much. It was with the veterinarian with the result here of course that it was about a strain in the shoulder and it still lasts something until he is again quite healthy is. It also became already better.

We thank quite heartily you and your team and please us on another message.

Armando  Hello. We are the proud owners of Armando, we call him Mando and now after 2 months he is starting to listen very well. In "bijlage" are a few pictures from Armando and is new big brother Sevil(la). They are inseparable and love to play with each other. But we have to be careful, when they are running after each other they like to bite at their paws and behind and last week they hit mark. Sevil had a chunk of flesh gone and this week it was Mando's turn. So we have to keep an eye on them when they are outside.
The first days Armando was with us he did nothing but run after us and sit and give his paws so you did loose your heart immediately. He sure knows how to play you. He is a real delight in the house. He can play with his toys and don't need anyone else. One lesser thing though, he likes to eat Sevil's droppings when we are not quick enough to put it away. Now, after a few weeks, the number of times he does it has gone down so we hope he is going to give it up.
