About Noah's Arc
Our
work since the pioneers who started “tail wagers” in October 2000
has seen almost 700 dogs and cats homed as a result of our dedicated
volunteers.
Noahs Arc is a registered animal rescue charity
in the Murcia region of Spain created to rescue injured and badly
treated animals. The main focus has been on dogs and cats as we
do have access to kennel facilities. Whilst we currently can only
take in dogs and cats we always try to help with any injured animals.
It is our intention to build more relationships with other specialist
animal charities to ensure that we can help a wider range of animals.
Noah's Arc are dependant on donations from the
public, and money raised in our two shops at Puerto de Mazarron
and Fuente Alamo. The shops, which are run by volunteers, sell donated
items such as clothes, furniture and bric-a-brac. We also raise
funds by organising social events such as auctions, BBQ's and fetes.
Though we do have some sponsors we are constantly looking for more
local businesses to become involved.
We have a committee
that meets regularly and we have many volunteers that help us in
a number of ways. If you would like to learn more about becoming
a volunteer please click here.
